Lyd Marie
Sade Americana
Lyd Marie is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter, percussionist, and producer blending folk, soul, and groove into a style she calls Sade Americana. In captivating live performances, she moves between intimate moments and rhythmic momentum, weaving together West African percussion and heartfelt songwriting. With the songwriting chops of Carole King and the emotional range of artists like Feist and Lianne La Havas, her music resonates with depth and clarity. Lyd spent 10 years touring and performing on stages across the country and globe as the percussionist of Austin-based world-folk band Ley Line. Since 2016, she has graced the stages of Telluride Bluegrass, Austin City Limits and Kerrville Folk Festival to name a few. Her journey as a producer led her back home to New York where she founded Tone Shift Collective, an event series that uplifts women and non-binary producers and artists. In October 2025 Lyd Marie released her sophomore album 4U. This self-produced project encapsulates her artistic range and ethos as an artist. Every song is captured live and built upon in the studio to preserve the authenticity of the moment and the beauty of collaboration
